Twin Kauris, Lake Barrine

Contour Works was engaged by Queensland Parks and Wildlife to demolish an existing timber viewing platform and install a Class 1 wheelchair accessible elevated FRP structure, opening the monumental Twin Kauris up to far more visitors.

The site attracts high visitation and sits in a highly sensitive rainforest environment, so strict guidelines applied and ground disturbance had to be kept to a minimum. A significant portion of the track upgrade was built as elevated FRP structure, alongside stone retaining walls and concrete path.

Contour Works also completed the car park works.
